Position Overview

Protect our commercial interests as Legal Counsel in Chicago. You will manage legal matters and claims with professionalism and care. Legal and commercial professionals from any country are warmly welcomed. Annual salary: USD 120,000 – 180,000 per year (plus overtime and allowances).

Role Description

• Manage legal, contractual or claims matters for the business.
• Review and draft contracts and legal documents.
• Assess and manage claims, disputes and settlements.
• Provide clear, practical legal and commercial advice.
• Coordinate with external counsel and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records and correspondence.
• Support compliance and risk management.
• Report on legal and claims matters to management.

Requirements & Skills

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience (typically 8–15 years) in construction and commercial law.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and sound judgement.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Internationally recognised qualifications and practical experience are warmly welcomed, whatever your country of origin.

Education & Qualifications

• Master of Laws (LLM) in Construction or Commercial Law.
• Professional registration, chartered status or relevant certifications and licences are highly regarded.
