Position Overview

Become part of a professional drilling crew as Rig Electrician in Chicago. You will work on modern rigs, learn valuable skills from experienced drillers and build a long-term career in oil and gas. We welcome workers from any country, and provide full training and support to help you settle in. Annual salary: USD 41,000 – 49,000 per year (plus overtime and allowances).

Role Description

• Work as part of a disciplined drilling crew on assigned rig operations.
• Handle, connect and inspect drill pipe, casing and associated equipment safely.
• Keep the work area clean, organised and free of hazards.
• Assist senior crew members with routine rig tasks and maintenance.
• Report any safety concerns, near misses or equipment faults to your supervisor.
• Take part in toolbox talks, safety drills and emergency response training.
• Follow all company safety rules and standard operating procedures.
• Support your teammates and grow your skills through on-the-job training.

Requirements & Skills

• Willingness to work on a drilling rig, including rotating day and night shifts.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Previous rig, labouring, farming or mechanical experience is helpful but not essential.
• A team-first attitude and a strong commitment to safety.
• Basic English communication skills; free language support is available.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
• Internationally recognised qualifications and practical experience are warmly welcomed, whatever your country of origin.

Education & Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required for entry-level roles.
